An individual who lives downstate wanted to build their dream home at their Lake City lakefront property, so instead of demolishing their old house, they donated it to us! Because this isn’t a typical habitat house, we wanted to figure out how we could do the most work with this donation, so we have decided to sell the house and use all the proceeds to repair and build safe and affordable housing for other habitat families!

Here is a description of the home:

  • 1,250 sq ft. and was updated in 2011 with new kitchen, baths, windows, siding, floors and more!
  • The home offers an open floor plan with large windows in which to enjoy the view from virtually every general area.
  • Kitchen features granite counter tops, LARGE work island/snack bar, stainless appliances even a separate wine refrigerator.
  • Two baths with custom tile work, one with large Jacuzzi tub.
  • There are two good size bedrooms with ample closet space and a den area that is being used as a third bedroom to accommodate more guests.
  • Spacious living area with room for a fireplace.
  • Two car attached garage and central air.
  • The move required the deck be removed, materials were salvaged and can be used to construct new deck.
  • Fireplace chimney also had to be removed but can be reinstalled or drywalled.
  • The home was located on a crawl space but could be placed over a basement.

An open house is scheduled for Friday, June 4th , 2021 from 3pm to 6pm and the home is temporarily located at 356 Bacon St in Lake City, MI. If this time does not work for you, please call us to discuss alternative time to see the house.
